Job summary

Atwell, LLC is actively seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join their Fort Lauderdale, Florida team. This role involves utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and handling diverse projects, specifically focusing on land development, renewable energy, and construction. Candidates must possess experience with FDOT District 4 and 6 and demonstrate strong drafting and surveying abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with FDOT District 4 and 6.
• Previous experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) preferred.
• Thorough understanding of Alta, topo, boundaries, and construction staking.

Responsibilities

• Guide drafting practices and procedures for design staff.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for project assignments.
• Generate project-specific drawings such as ALTA and construction layouts.
• Review project survey data and analyze existing site conditions.
• Modify plans based on revisions from agencies and clients.
• Ensure open communication with Project Managers regarding workflow.

Skills

Experience with FDOT District 4 and 6

Knowledge of land development

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Understanding of ALTA surveys

Education

High school diploma
