Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a full-time Survey CAD Technician to support land development projects in office and field settings.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or higher in surveying technology or related field (SIT preferred) and strong experience with survey computations, platting, Civil 3D, MicroStation and GIS tools.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in surveying technology/geomatics or related field; SIT registration preferred.
• 5+ years' land surveying experience preferred.
• Office and field survey tasks; strong self-motivation and organizational skills; field experience required.
• Work in office and field environments.
• Land Development surveying with emphasis on commercial/residential routes and construction layout a plus.
• Experience with Civil 3D 2013, MicroStation, Geopak; PLSCADD and ArcGIS a plus.
• Proficient with field data capture, data organization, photos, daily checklists and timesheets.

Responsibilities

• Perform survey computations and platting.
• Work in both office and field settings.
• Support land development surveys for commercial and residential projects.
• Handle daily field sketches, photographs, data downloads and timesheets.
• Utilize Trimble data collection, GPS, robotic total stations and GIS tools as needed.

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Survey CAD Technician in our Hendersonville, NC office.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in surveying technology/geomatics, civil engineering, or related field, and/or registration as a SIT preferred, but not required.
• 5+ years’ experience in land surveying preferred.
• Candidate will be required to demonstrate strong self-motivational and organizational skills, experience with survey computations and platting, as well as field experience required.
• Position requires work to be performed in the office as well as the field.
• Land Development survey experience required with emphasis on commercial, residential, various route types, and construction layout a plus.
• Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, robotic total stations, Civil 3d 2013, MicroStation, Geopak required, with PLSCADD and ArcGIS a plus.
• Computer skills involved in the submittal of daily files including downloading of data, preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists & timesheets, and vehicle navigation are required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Earth, and Trimble Data Transfer is a plus.
• Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
