Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a Subsurface Utility Technician to join our Hendersonville, NC team. The role emphasizes surveying expertise, including conventional, robotic, and GPS methods, with exposure to SUE tasks and utility mapping.

Daily file handling, field sketches, and data management are integral parts of the job. Travel to out-of-town sites may occur with meal per diem and lodging provided. Candidates must pass drug screen and background checks in accordance with MVR policy.

Qualifications

• Experience in land surveying preferred; knowledge of conventional, robotic and GPS surveying functions including static, fast static, RTK, and VRS.
• Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, and robotic total stations required.
• SUE skills and utility mapping experience is a plus.
• Computer skills for submittal of daily files, data organization, field sketches, photos, checklists and timesheets.
• Excel, navigation programs and Trimble Data Transfer knowledge a plus.
• MVR policy requires drug screen, background check and satisfactory driving record.
• Travel may be required with meal per diem and lodging provided.
• This position is subject to outside environmental conditions.

ESP Associates, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Subsurface Utility Technician to join our team in Hendersonville, NC.

Qualifications:

• Experience in land surveying preferred. Position requires comprehensive knowledge of conventional, robotic and GPS surveying functions including static, fast static, RTK, and VRS.
• Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, and robotic total stations required.
• Various types of SUE skills and utility mapping experience are a plus.
• Computer skills involved in the submittal of daily files including downloading of data, preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists & timesheets, and vehicle navigation are required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Navigation programs and Trimble Data Transfer a plus.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy.
• Position does include out-of-town travel for which meal per diem, and lodging are provided.
• This position is subject to outside environmental conditions.
