Job summary

Benesch Alfred & Co's Connecticut Division is seeking a survey assistant to support field data collection and staking activities within the Civil Engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of surveying experience, with exposure to topographic field work, construction inspection surveying, and boundary monument searches, including travel to sites across Connecticut.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Survey & Geomatics or related surveying program preferred.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years of surveying field experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Crew Chief to establish survey requirements and conduct surveys in line with standards and contract specifications.
• Research necessary records, perform calculations, and analyze measurements for property locations and legal descriptions.
• Assist in data compilation and ensure quality control.
• Communicate field issues to the Crew Chief.

Join Benesch's Connecticut Division as a survey assistant. As part of our Civil Engineering team, you will provide various field data collection and staking activities.

The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of surveying experience, showcasing expertise in various aspects such as topographic field work, construction inspection surveying, support for field personnel, and boundary monument searches.

Location

This position will be for an office position from our Glastonbury office with daily field visits to sites across Connecticut.
