Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Survey Assistant in Connecticut. The role supports the Civil Engineering team with field data collection, staking, and survey tasks while visiting sites across Connecticut from the Glastonbury office.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of surveying experience and an Associate degree or higher in Survey & Geomatics (or related program). The position involves fieldwork, boundary searches, and data quality control in a supportive office–field environment.

• Associate degree or higher in Survey & Geomatics or related program preferred; HS diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years of surveying field experience.
• Proficiency in topographic field work, construction inspection surveying, and data compilation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Crew Chief to establish survey requirements and conduct surveys per standards and contract specs.
• Research records, perform calculations, and analyze measurements for property locations and legal descriptions.
• Assist in data compilation and ensure quality control.
• Communicate field issues to the Crew Chief.

Survey Assistant

Join Benesch's Connecticut Division as a survey assistant. As part of our Civil Engineering team, you will provide various field data collection and staking activities.

The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of surveying experience, showcasing expertise in various aspects such as topographic field work, construction inspection surveying, support for field personnel, and boundary monument searches.

Location

This position will be for an office position from our Glastonbury office with daily field visits to sites across Connecticut.

What We Are Looking For

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the State of Connecticut Pay Transparency Laws. See below links. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.
