Apply now to join an organization where you truly make a difference.Job Duties and Preferred Qualifications:Our Public Utilities Engineering Division is hiring a Survey Aide II .The Survey Aide will assist a survey crew involved in basic land surveying and GIS data collection by performing duties such as holding grade rod or plumb bob to determine elevations and distances, assisting in maintaining field notes and performing minor calculations to help ensure accuracy of work, and by operating electronic locating devices to mark existing utility lines.The individual must be able to physically perform manual tasks such as digging, cutting, brush, driving hubs or stakes, carrying equipment, and opening covers for underground utility structures.Additional requirements:• DMV Transcript: Yes• CDL: No• Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse: No• CPS Check: No• Physical: No• Respirator: No• Psychological Screening: No• Polygraph: No• At Will: NoMinimum Requirements:Minimum Qualifications: High school or GED plus one (1) year of experience in fields providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, such as surveying work, construction, engineering drafting; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
