Job summary

Binion's Gambling Hall in Las Vegas seeks a Surveillance Technical Assistant to support the maintenance, repair and installation of casino and security surveillance systems. You will follow daily work schedules and assist in camera placement and system upgrades.

Qualifications

• Electronics background or equivalent work experience required.

• Gaming Registration/casino regulatory familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs casino and security surveillance systems as directed.
• Performs routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of surveillance equipment.
• Assists in planning, placement and installation of cameras and equipment.
• Responds to emergency service calls and maintains confidentiality of information.
• Assists Operational Shift Supervisors and may perform duties of an Operational System Agent.

Surveillance Technical Assistant

• Reports to the Surveillance Technical Manager each day for that days work schedule and assigned projects.
• Responsible for proper maintenance and repair of the casino surveillance system and the security surveillance system as directed.
• Performs routine and systematic cleaning and preventative maintenance of video cassette recorders, video monitors, video cameras, pan/tilt motors and gears, system processor and controls, and system peripheral equipment.
• Assists in the ordering and stocking of necessary cleaning supplies and spare parts for existing equipment.
• Assists in the planning, placement, and installation of cameras and support equipment into new or reconfigured casino and/or security areas.
• Responds to emergency service calls.
• Maintains confidential information on all corporate Security and Surveillance personnel, projects and programs.
• Assists all Operational Shift Supervisors as needed.
• As required, performs the duties of an Operational System Agent.
• Performs all duties in accordance with Binions departmental policies and procedures.
• Advises the Director of Surveillance on all current and future projects in the absence of the Technical Manager.
• Position involves extensive periods of walking, bending and standing.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, and ABILITY:

Must be able to access areas of installation of surveillance equipment (ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, etc…); and working knowledge of computer software programs.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education:

Electronics background or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience:

One (1) year in surveillance systems providing maintenance, repair and installation of video cassette recorders, video monitors, video cameras, pan/tilt motor and gears, system processors and controls, and system peripheral equipment.
