Job summary

Cook County Health & Hospitals System in Forest Park, IL, seeks a Program Coordinator to oversee Enhanced Surveillance activities, including syndromic and wastewater monitoring, and to generate reports for outbreak response.

The role requires a Master’s in epidemiology/biostatistics, 5 years in disease surveillance, and 2 years of supervisory experience, with strong data analysis skills in R/SAS/Python.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related Public Health concentration.
• Five (5) years of experience in disease surveillance and control or epidemiologic data analysis.
• Two (2) years of supervisory and/or managerial experience in relevant public health programs.
• Proficiency in R, SAS, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, coordinates, and conducts Enhanced Surveillance activities including syndromic and wastewater surveillance.
• Supervises program staff and generates surveillance reports to inform disease prevalence and outbreaks.
• Partners with local, state, and federal agencies and participates in meetings and training.
