Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Surveillance Operator for Turfway Park Racing & Gaming in Florence, KY. The role is full-time with a 32-hour weekly schedule and requires vigilance across all gaming area activities, reporting infractions to the Surveillance leader on duty.

The ideal candidate will maintain knowledge of gaming laws and company policies, perform routine training, and monitor assets and staff for compliance. High school diploma and Kentucky license eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work weekends, holidays and nights.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

This position is Full Time and will be scheduled 32 hours per week.

The Surveillance Operator is vigilant in observing all areas of the gaming facility and surrounding areas and reports all procedural infractions and criminal activity to the Surveillance leader on duty.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains cleanliness of work stations and equipment.
• Performs close watch duties as assigned.
• Maintains familiarity with gaming law, regulations, company policies and procedures.
• Receives periodic on-the-job training.
• Diligently monitors all company assets as well as monitoring all employees for procedural violations.
• Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of procedures and policies for all departments.
• Enforces department procedures by observing and reporting any failure to comply with company policy or gaming regulation.
• Maintains up to the minute, detailed, and accurate logs.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
