Job summary

Delaware North at Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack is seeking a Surveillance Officer for Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, NY. Positions available as part-time and full-time with schedules spanning mornings and evenings.

You will monitor surveillance cameras, generate logs and reports, and ensure system operations and regulatory compliance. The role requires at least 1 year of related experience, the ability to obtain a state gaming license, and strong communication and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year related surveillance experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain state gaming license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills: email, word processing, spreadsheets.
• Basic knowledge or training in investigations.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all areas of the property using surveillance cameras.
• Produce written reports on violations and activity.
• Ensure cameras and computer systems are operational at all times.
• Comply with state racing and gaming regulations and policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of surveillance information.

Delaware North Gaming is seeking a part-time and full-time Surveillance Officer to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a Surveillance Officer, you will be conducting facility-wide surveillance camera operations to assist in the protection and safety of the property for guests and team members.

What will you do?

• Monitor all areas of the property, including but not limited to gaming and cage activity, food and beverage activity, and security of the facility and the entire property
• Produce written reports and logs on any observed violations and illegal activity in a timely manner
• Ensure that all cameras and computer systems are operational at all times
• Ensure that all state racing and gaming regulations and polices are followed
• Comply with confidentiality regulations regarding all surveillance information including camera coverage, investigations, and proprietary material

More about you

• Minimum of 1 year related experience
• Able to obtain and maintain state gaming license
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage crowds effectively
• Computer skills including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, routine database activity, and record keeping
• Basic knowledge and/or training in investigations
• No high school diploma or GED required

Physical requirements

• Ability to hear and speak to communicate on two-way radio
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Work environment may consist of a dark area viewing video monitors for entire shift
• Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
