Job summary

Hollywood Casino St. Louis is seeking a Surveillance Officer to monitor casino areas via CCTV, ensure compliance with Missouri Gaming Commission regulations, and document and report findings accurately.

Shift options include Day, Swing, and Grave with a pay of $17.00 per hour. Applicants should be 21+, proficient in Microsoft Office, and pass a math test with 80%+; six months of related experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all casino areas via CCTV to detect suspicious activities.
• Observe gaming operations to ensure compliance with Missouri Gaming Commission regulations.
• Document unusual activities and report findings to management and regulators.
• Review video footage in response to incidents or disputes.
• Prepare clear written reports and incident summaries.
• Respond to emergencies by coordinating with Security and Law Enforcement as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of cheating methods in table games and devices.
• Test and calibrate surveillance equipment; report malfunctions.
• Maintain confidentiality of surveillance operations.
• Keep up with regulatory requirements and ongoing training.
• Apply basic math to understand payouts and game calculations.

As a Surveillance Officer you will:

Shift: Day: 7am - 3pm, Swing: 3pm - 11pm, Grave: 11pm - 7am | Pay: $17.00 per hour

1. Monitor all areas of the casino property via CCTV equipment to detect suspicious activities involving guests and team members.
2. Observe gaming operations to ensure compliance with Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) regulations, casino internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
3. Document unusual or irregular activities and report findings to the appropriate personnel, including management and Missouri Gaming Commission agents.
4. Review recorded video footage in response to incidents or complaints such as disputes between patrons, internal investigations, or suspected policy violations.
5. Prepare clear, detailed written reports on all significant surveillance observations, including daily activity logs and incident summaries.
6. Respond promptly to emergency situations by coordinating with Security, Management, and/or Law Enforcement as necessary.
7. Maintain an in-depth understanding of cheating methods in table games and electronic gaming devices to effectively identify and report fraudulent activity.
8. Regularly test, calibrate, and ensure proper operation of all surveillance equipment and systems; report any malfunctions or needed repairs.
9. Maintain confidentiality of all surveillance operations and company information.
10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and surveillance techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
11. Must be comfortable with basic math functions including addition, subtraction, division, and percentages, especially as they apply to table games and gaming payouts.
