Job summary

Redding Rancheria seeks a Surveillance Agent to monitor all Gaming operations at Win-River Resort and Casino. The role requires upholding SOPs, laws, MICs, TICS, and tribal policies while reporting findings to Surveillance leadership.

The position is full-time with swing or graveyard shifts. Candidates should be capable of working independently or in a team, maintaining calm under pressure, and using basic computer tools. Indian preference applies.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of gaming laws, tribal policies, and related regulations.
• Knowledge of Class II & III gaming operations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with basic computer programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Operate surveillance systems and CCTV equipment.
• Read and follow casino policies, state and federal regulations.
• Log observations and notify management of violations.
• Assist Security and other departments to protect assets.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in surveillance operations.
• Provide professional customer service to department staff.
• Review surveillance footage to determine if violations occurred.
• Report major incidents to Surveillance Management.

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Surveillance Agent. The preferred schedule for this position is full-time, with availability for either swing shift or graveyard shift.

JOB SUMMARY:

To monitor and oversee all aspects of Gaming for Win- River Resort and Casino. Report all findings of violations of SOPs, Laws, MICs, TICS, Ordinances or Title 31 issues to Surveillance Management/Lead Surveillance Agent with any evidence and a report.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED; or six months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of all laws and regulations related to Gaming industry and surveillance, as well as Tribal policies and procedures
• Knowledge of Class II & III gaming operations.
• Must have the ability to effectively follow direction
• Must possess the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to view, discern and make sound judgements
• Ability to learn various count systems for card games, Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) and obtain a good understanding of all related games operating within casino.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing, with all levels of contact within and outside department
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Be proficient in retaining and recalling numbers
• Ability to work in stressful situations and maintain a calm professional demeanor when communicating by telephone and/or radio
• Quality personal characteristics include: integrity, confidentiality, objectivity, motivation and visionary ability.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Operate all surveillance systems and equipment (learn and operate Closed Circuit Television System)
• Must read and become thoroughly familiar with Casino and Department policies and procedures
• Must read and become thoroughly familiar with State Regulations
• Must read and become thoroughly familiar with Federal Regulations (25CFR 542 & 543)
• Must read and become thoroughly familiar with Tribal regulations (TICs)
• Log all pertinent observations and notifications in the Surveillance logbook
• Responsible to observe, detect and log any violations of law, policies and procedures for the entire operation, personnel and property
• Provide assistance with Win-River Casino Security Department and other departments in protecting the assets of the Tribe
• Provide friendly, fast, correct and helpful customer service to all Department Management as needed
• Review surveillance coverage on cases of patron/internal control disputes
• Review Surveillance footage to ascertain if a violation has occurred
• To report any and all major incidents to Surveillance Management
• Requires a person with the utmost integrity, and one that has no hesitation in reporting what he/she observes, no matter what the circumstances or who is involved
• Must have good oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer/typing skills
• Conduct routine random surveillance “Audits” to confirm transactions or events
• Conduct “Special Observations” as approved by surveillance management
• Report all discrepancies of Procedure/Internal Control, as well as Risks and Liabilities
• Report any and all violations of the law, gaming regulations, and Tribal policies and procedures, as well as all pertinent information regarding any Surveillance System issues
• Maintain a high standard of personal integrity
• Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to the operations, controls, and procedures involved in surveillance activities
• Be able to positively interact with other surveillance personnel
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications (Word, Excel and Power Point)
• Must be 21 years of age.

• Participation in continuation education and hands on technology training and testing
• Responsible to maintain confidentiality of Win-River Casino Bingo operations
• All other duties assigned by Gaming Commission, Surveillance Manager and/or Supervisor Perform all other duties as needed
