Job summary

Ameristar Casino Resort Spa in Colorado is seeking a vigilant Surveillance team member to monitor gaming floors and related areas, ensuring safety and policy compliance. You will observe activities, document irregularities, and report potential issues to management to minimize loss.

Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and variable days, you will collaborate with staff to uphold high standards and protect customers and employees. Prior surveillance exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of surveillance experience preferred.
• Must pass a basic surveillance aptitude test gauging math skill.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Thorough knowledge of casino operations and games preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and varying days off.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance watch in all areas and activities.
• Record any irregular activities as required.
• Video surveillance of customer and employee activities in gaming and money handling areas.
• Report violations of Gaming regulations and company policies to supervisors.
• Protect information and report vulnerabilities to loss from internal or external sources.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and department procedures.
• Complete special projects as assigned by Surveillance Management.
• Maintain confidentiality of company matters.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance watch in all areas and activities.
• Record any irregular activities as required.
• Video surveillance of the activities of customers and employees in all gaming and money handling areas.
• Report (verbally and in writing) any violations of Gaming, company policies and procedures, and any safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
• Report and offer solutions to any area of vulnerability to loss from internal or external sources.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of Gaming Regulations, company policies and other department procedures.
• Maintain compliance with department procedures and company policies.
• Work on special projects as needed assigned by Surveillance Management.
• Maintain strict confidence regarding company matters.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures regarding customer service standards.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and fluctuating days off.

Requirements

• Gaming Casino Surveillance experience preferred (0 to 1 years)
• Must pass a basic surveillance aptitude test gauging math skill.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Thorough knowledge of casino games and casino operations preferred.
• Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Vision correctable to 20/20 with normal color acuity.
