Job summary

MedVet in Ohio is seeking a Surgery and Anesthesia Veterinary Credentialed Technician to join our fast-paced surgical team. You will manage patient histories, prep for surgery, assist with anesthesia, and maintain meticulous records to support post-operative care.

Ideal candidates hold a State Registered Veterinary Technician license, demonstrate strong communication, and can perform drug calculations accurately.

Qualifications

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, CRIs, unit conversions).

Responsibilities

• Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, medical records, invoicing, patient discharges.
• Fill medications, enter charges and maintain medical records, schedule appointments.
• Create patient releases and discuss treatment plans with clients and financial obligations.
• Prep patients for surgery, assist with intubation and radiographs.
• Perform blood draws and submit bloodwork.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
• Open, turn over and clean operating rooms and sterilize instruments.
