Job summary

MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets in Cincinnati is seeking a Surgery and Anesthesia Veterinary Credentialed Technician to join our fast-paced Surgery team. You will manage patient histories, prepare for procedures, assist with intubation and radiographs, and ensure accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required.
• Prior veterinary experience required; surgery experience desired.
• Proficient calculations (drugs, IV infusions, unit conversions).

Responsibilities

• Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, medical records, invoicing, patient discharges.
• Fill medications, enter charges, maintain accurate medical records, schedule appointments.
• Create patient releases, discuss treatment plans and financial obligations with clients.
• Prep patients for surgery, including shaving, scrubbing and positioning; assist with intubation and radiographs.
• Proficiently perform blood draws and submit bloodwork.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete; maintain OR cleanliness and instrument prep.
