Job summary

Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists in Sugar Land, TX is seeking a Licensed Surgical Veterinary Technician in Anesthesia to join our advanced surgical team. You will work with board‑certified surgeons and be part of a supportive culture that values patient‑first care and professional growth.

You will place arterial/central lines, administer regional anesthesia, and manage critical care anesthesia, including ventilation and TIVA, while assisting with surgical preparation and client education.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician with anesthesia experience in specialty surgery.
• Experience running ASA level 5 anesthesia cases independently preferred.
• Background in training junior staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Place arterial and central lines, urinary catheters, and NG tubes.
• Administer local and regional anesthesia.
• Perform critical care anesthesia including ventilation and TIVA.
• Surgical preparation for procedures.
• Educate clients during consultations and dismissals.
• Bandage application and changes.
• Collaborate with surgeons to ensure patient safety.
