Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists is seeking a Neurology Veterinary Technician (part-time) to join our specialty team in Sugar Land. You will support neurology appointments, monitor anesthesia, and assist with advanced imaging, contributing to compassionate care for neurological patients.

Ideal candidates are LVT/RVT/CVT certified or experienced technicians with strong anesthesia skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician license preferred (LVT/RVT/CVT).
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring in a clinical setting.
• Strong communication and client service skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with neurology appointments, procedures, and patient treatments.
• Administer and monitor anesthesia for neurologic procedures and advanced imaging.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia and sedation.
• Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and treatment information.
• Place and maintain IV catheters and administer medications as directed.
• Provide nursing care and monitoring for hospitalized neurology patients.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and advanced imaging preparation.
• Educate clients regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and fellow technicians to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
