Qualifications

• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards and core values.
• Perform pre-surgical physical exam with DVM and monitor patient status.
• Alert the doctor when vital signs are abnormal during care.
• Set up intravenous fluids and administer subcutaneous fluids.
• Operate IV pumps and troubleshoot errors.
• Monitor fluid therapy and assess for overload.

Responsibilities

• Focus on surgery while also performing Veterinary Assistant duties as needed.
• Support the established surgery team and onboarding doctors at the location.
• Assist with setup, monitoring, and post-surgical care as required.
