Fallbrook Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team, providing dedicated support alongside our clinical staff with a strong emphasis on surgery, anesthesia, and dental care.

This position offers both full-time and part-time options, with a 5/8 schedule and Monday–Friday availability. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package and the chance to develop advanced procedural skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant required.
• Experience assisting with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures preferred.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and dental procedures is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with surgical and dental procedures.
• Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery.
• Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiography.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for procedures.
• Maintain accurate surgical and treatment records.
• Guide clients through admission and discharge with compassion.
• Support exams and outpatient procedures outside of surgical times.
• Help maintain efficient workflow by anticipating team needs.
