Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant role.
- Proficiency in animal handling and restraint for dogs and cats of varying sizes.
- Experience with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with surgical and dental procedures.
- Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery.
- Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiography.
- Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for procedures.
- Maintain accurate surgical and treatment records.
- Guide clients through admission and discharge with compassion.
- Support exams and outpatient procedures outside surgical schedules.
- Anticipate team needs to improve workflow.
