Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4B Surgical Unit (GYN & Urology) in Newark, DE. The role involves caring for patients recovering from urologic, gynecologic, abdominal, and general surgeries in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires BSN or progress toward it, Delaware license or eligibility, and at least one year of med/surg experience with BLS. Hours are day/evening shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.) with weekend/holiday commitments, 72 hours per pay.

Qualifications

• BSN or commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire.
• License or license eligibility in the state of Delaware.
• At least one year of med/surg experience strongly required.
• BLS required.
• Hours: day/evening rotation with 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. weekend/holiday commitments; 72 hours per pay.
• Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37

Responsibilities

• Care for surgical patients in the 4B unit with drains, NG tubes, tube feeds, IV meds, wound care and other advanced therapies.
• Handle high-volume admissions, discharges, and patient progression.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
