Job summary

Baptist Health Care Corporation in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Baptist Surgical Unit on the Day shift. The RN provides care and education for the patient based on illness, symptoms, and treatment, using the nursing process to deliver goal-directed care.

You will collaborate with patients and families, develop care plans, document care, and support the healthcare team. Requires nursing diploma/degree, Florida license, and strong communication and acute care skills.

Qualifications

Technical diploma/certificate in nursing or higher is required.
Florida RN license or eligible in state of Florida.
BLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.
Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic plan of care with patients and families.
Implements medical and nursing interventions as necessary for patient care.
Evaluates problems and patient responses to ensure quality of care.
Maintains accurate documentation for the healthcare team.
Performs nursing duties per department scope of service and teaches patients and support persons.
Promotes teamwork and pursues ongoing professional growth and development.
