Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Patient Care Technician to support the General Surgery unit, delivering compassionate patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living. In this position, you will participate in routine clinical tasks, document patient data accurately, and adapt to varying shifts to ensure continuous patient support

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and families.
• Bi-lingual basic language skills preferred.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and assignments.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and report basic patient data (vital signs, weight, urine output).
• Provide patient positioning, mobility hygiene, ADL support per procedure.
• Monitor intake and output and document on forms.
• Identify and report changes to licensed staff promptly.
• Organize patient care and prioritize physician/nurse orders.
• Perform procedures within scope and document patient response.
• Assist with patient rounds and respond to call lights.
