Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Surgical-Trauma ICU at Baptist Medical Center South. The RN will supervise nursing staff on shift, collaborate with physicians, and utilize the nursing process to plan and deliver patient care.

Active RN licensure, BLS, and relevant certifications are required; BSN is preferred. The position requires the ability to work independently and in a team, with flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required with active status
• BSN degree preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC may be required depending on area
• Ability to observe, assess, and document patient status consistently

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff on shift, weekends, and holidays to ensure quality patient care
• Coordinate nursing activities using the nursing process for assessments and interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to plan and implement patient care
• Maintain infection control standards and effective communication with patients and families
