Job summary

OU Health is seeking an experienced RN for Surgical Transplant, days/nights. The role involves providing expert nursing care, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity surgical transplant unit.

Requirements include an RN license (OK or compact), 3-5 years of RN experience, and BLS certification. Specialty certifications are preferred, and the nurse will contribute to maintaining high standards of patient safety and care.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• 3-5 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse.
• Current RN license (Oklahoma or compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Specialty certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with a range of conditions.
• Document patient responses and changes in physician orders.
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
• Assist physicians in examinations and minor procedures.
• Collaborate with care teams and support staff to resolve patient issues.
• Communicate care plans with patients and families at discharge.
