Job summary

The Surgical Training Facility at the Orthopedic Trauma Institute in San Francisco invites applications for a Laboratory Support Specialist. The role focuses on lab prep for surgical training, handling and positioning cadaveric specimens, and setting up drapes and instrumentation.

You will provide technical help during sessions, operate fluoroscopy/arthroscopy equipment, maintain lab cleanliness, restock supplies, and support the Facility Manager.

Qualifications

• High school graduation and/or two years of laboratory experience, or two years of college with science and one year of laboratory experience.
• Anatomy knowledge and customer service skills are preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and lab procedures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lab prep for surgical training sessions and handling/positioning cadaveric specimens.
• Assist with draping and instrumentation setup for procedures.
• Serve as technical support during labs, answering questions about specimens and equipment.
