Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant Program.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required upon entry to the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of the nursing process by performing direct and indirect patient care.
• Maintain an orderly and safe patient care environment and unit.
• Assist with Admission/Transfer/Discharge of patients and orient patients to the hospital environment.
• Conduct patient rounds for toileting, comfort, safety and personal needs; respond to call lights promptly.
• Provide basic hygiene and daily care to patients; assist with meals and simple treatments.
• Record vital signs and report abnormalities to the RN.
• Assist in moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients as needed.
• Support equipment management and supply handling according to department standards.
