Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island in Mineola, NY, is seeking a Patient Care Technician / Senior Nursing Attendant - Surgical Telemetry for full-time evening hours. You will assist in implementing the nursing process under supervision of a Registered Nurse, helping maintain a safe patient care environment.

Responsibilities include patient admissions, rounds, vital signs, basic hygiene, ambulation support, and documentation alongside the nursing team.

Qualifications

• To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant Program, certified as a CNA and at least 6 months relevant experience.
• CPR/Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admission/transfer/discharge and orient patients to the hospital environment.
• Perform rounds for patient comfort, safety and needs; respond to call lights promptly.
• Prepare bedside units, assist with meals, hygiene, and basic treatments.
• Record vital signs and intake/output; report abnormalities to RN.
• Support nursing staff with equipment, supplies, and documentation.
