Job summary

College of Southern Nevada is seeking a part-time Surgical Technology instructor for the Reno campus for FY 2027. The role involves teaching courses, coordinating labs and clinicals, and evaluating student progress across lab, clinical and didactic components.

A current CST/TS-C/CRCST credential with HSPA and relevant teaching or scrub experience are required. Travel to multiple clinical sites may be required; schedules subject to department needs.

Qualifications

• Surgical technology credential accredited by the relevant certifying agencies (CST/TS‑C/CRCST) with HSPA.
• 1 year OR scrub experience or 2 years as a surgical technology instructor, or a combination.
• Ability to teach lab, clinical and didactic SRGT coursework.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses and coordinate with catalog descriptions to meet student objectives.
• Provide course outlines, required texts, attendance, exams, grading and office hours.
• Periodically evaluate student progress and administer exams and final assessments.
• Travel to clinical sites to observe and evaluate students as needed.
