Job summary

Metro Technology Centers is seeking an Instructor for Surgical Technology to educate and supervise students using a board-approved curriculum. The role emphasizes flexible delivery to meet student needs and to develop knowledge, skills, work ethics, and the right attitudes for employment.

The candidate should have at least two years of occupational experience in the skill area and hold CST certification, with credentials through a national program approved by the NC.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of occupational experience in the skill area to be taught.
• Must hold CST Certified Surgical Technologist credential.
• Credential in surgical technology through a national certification by a NC Tus accrediting body.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver materials in classroom, lab, or clinical settings.
• Establish learning objectives and communicate them clearly.
• Incorporate digital instructional methodologies into lesson plans.
• Instruct and monitor students using materials and equipment.
• Assign and grade work and provide timely feedback.
• Monitor student progress and support individual growth.
• Ensure students prepare for licensure and/or certification exams.
• Maintain records and inventory and requisition supplies as needed.
