Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College seeks qualified adjunct faculty to support Surgical Technology instruction at the Evansville, IN campus. This in-person role requires teaching on campus with additional travel to clinical sites as needed.

The position is part-time, term-by-term based on demand. Responsibilities include delivering instruction, using Blackboard/PowerPoint, and maintaining attendance/grades per college policies.

Qualifications

• AAS or higher from an accredited institution.
• Possesses a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program accredited by the NCCA.
• Have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.
• Must be located to teach in-person at the Evansville, IN campus.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in person at the Evansville, IN campus.
• Teach in off-site hospital and surgery center settings as well as on-site lectures.
• Travel site to site as required.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per college policy and syllabus requirements.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course being taught and follow content requirements.
