Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technologist licensure as required by state law.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite, position and prepare the patient, and provide instruments, equipment and supplies during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field, verify instrument counts, and operate equipment per policy.
• Assist in scrubbing, gowning, and gloving for team members and anticipate needs of the surgeon during procedures.
• Move patients to and from the surgical suite and help with draping and transfer as needed.
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality; adhere to infection control and asepsis standards.
