Job summary

Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist Residency Student to join our team as a clinical student during the program's clinical experience. Students will operate under delegation by licensed practitioners and a preceptor, and will not function independently.

The role is designed for students still in an accredited CAAHEP/ABHES program and will follow the wage range and values of Providence’s patient‑centered culture.

Description

The Surgical Technologist Residency Student is a student who has not yet completed an accredited Surgical Technology program (CAAHEP or ABHES) but is able to perform tasks in the surgical setting under the delegation of authority of a licensed health care practitioner and a staff Surgical Technologist preceptor. Surgical Technologist Resident Students will function as a clinical student during their program clinical experience. This experience will be educational, and the student will not function independently. The primary duties are outlined in WAC 246-939-030.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $17.25 - $23.89
