Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Washington is seeking a Senior Surgical Technician to support surgeons in the operating room.

This role emphasizes maintaining instrument sets, coordinating supplies, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures. The Advanced Surgical Technologist will mentor new graduates, help develop specialty preference cards, and participate in product trials and committees as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent training.
• WST Registration required upon hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Senior Surgical Technician - Surgery

Advanced Surgical Technologists are individuals who perform tasks in the surgical setting under the delegation of a licensed health practitioner. The primary duties are outlined in WAC 346-939-030. The Advanced Surgical technologist is responsible for maintaining and editing their specific designated specialty preference cards, coordinating supplies and equipment for their designated specialty, and creating product request forms. The Advanced Surgical Technologist will assist the physicians within their designated specialty with product trials and the process of (SIVAT) Specialty Item Value Analysis team committee. The Advanced Surgical Technologist is also responsible for precepting new graduates and new hires. It is expected that the Advanced Surgical Technologist will act in accordance with the PSMMC core values and as a leader amongst their peers.

• 3 years of working as a Surgical Technologist.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $34.49 - $53.55. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
