Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a seasonal full-time role. The position notes no holidays or calls, with a focus on orthopedic procedures and a collaborative surgical team environment.

The candidate should have a Surgical Technician Program completion and state/center certification as required. Ambulatory surgery center experience, especially in orthopedics, is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

Surgical Technologist at Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star:

The Surgical Scrub Tech scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Orthopedic experience required
