Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a seasonal, full-time role in Frisco, Texas. The Surgical Scrub Tech provides sterile technique during procedures, prepares supplies and equipment, and supports the surgical team and quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a Surgical Technician program, state certification as required, plus orthopedic and ambulatory-surgical-center experience.

Surgical Technologist at Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star:

The Surgical Scrub Tech scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Orthopedic experience required
