Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate Accredited Surgical Tech Program or 1-year Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a sterile field and monitor technique throughout procedures.
• Assist the surgeon and scrub team by passing instruments and maintaining supplies.
• Open sterile supplies and verify sterility indicators and dates.
• Prepare Mayo set-up and maintain instrument counts and sharps safety.
• Assist in wound closure under supervision and ensure proper specimen handling.
• Perform other duties as assigned by department.
