Job summary

UF Health Flagler Hospital in Saint Augustine, FL is seeking a Surgical Tech (PRN) to assist in pre- and post-operative care. You will prepare supplies, set up sterile fields, hand instruments, and help maintain instrument sterility throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical tech program.
• Experience as Scrub Tech preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a sterile field and monitor for contamination.
• Assist surgeon with draping and passing instruments during procedures.
• Prepare Mayo setup and ensure instruments are ready and accounted for.
• Handle specimens according to lab guidelines and maintain safety protocols.
• Maintain back table setup and inventory of sterile supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the surgical department.
