Pain Specialists of America is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operative teams in the Austin, TX area. You will handle instruments, supplies, and equipment, maintain the sterile field, and assist the surgeon throughout the procedure.

The role requires proficiency in pre- and intra-operative tasks, attention to safety, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of training.
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist or evidence of employment prior to Sept 1, 2009.
• Evidence of current BLS certification.
• Two years of previous experience as a Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative: gather, check and open supplies and equipment; set up sterile field; counts with circulator; gowning/gloving assistance; prepare dressings and sterile back table.
• Intra-operative: anticipate instrumentation and supplies; pass instruments; measure and pass medications and irrigation solutions; maintain sterile technique; coordinate robotic arms.
• Post-operation/other: assist anesthesia provider; ensure safety, record-keeping, specimen handling; prepare for next case; assist in room prep and debriefing.

Certified Surgical Technologist

Evidence of current BLS certification

Two years of previous experience as a Surgical Technologist
