Job summary

Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in the Greater Brainerd Lakes Area is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. You will prepare and manage the sterile environment, assist with patient transport and draping, and work under the supervision of a Perioperative RN to ensure smooth procedures and patient safety.

Responsibilities include passing instruments during surgeries, supporting room turnover, instrument decontamination, and restocking.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program OR 2+ years of surgical scrub experience coupled with related clinical training (e.g., LPN, Military)
• American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or associated professional certification preferred
• Experience with skin closure with suturing preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation from transport to surgical draping under guidance of a Perioperative RN.
• Provide instruments and supplies to surgeons during surgeries.
• Maintain efficiency and safety by anticipating surgeons' needs.
• Handle post-surgical tasks: room turnover, instrument decontamination, restocking.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physician assistants, and nurses to ensure high-quality patient care.
