Job summary

Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, MN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to prepare and manage the sterile environment in the operating room, following AORN and AST guidelines. You'll assist with patient prep, instrument delivery, and room readiness under the supervision of a Perioperative RN.

The role involves post-surgical tasks such as room turnover, instrument decontamination, and collaboration with surgeons, PAs, and nurses to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program or 2+ years of surgical scrub experience with related clinical training.
• American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or associated professional certification preferred.
• Preferred: Experience with skin closure with suturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the sterile environment within the surgical suite, adhering to AORN and AST guidelines.
• Assist with patient preparation, from transport to surgical draping, under the guidance of a Perioperative RN.
• Provide instruments and supplies directly to surgeons, anticipating needs to maintain efficiency and safety.
• Post-surgical tasks including room turnover, instrument decontamination, and restocking.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physician assistants, and nurses to support a seamless operative process and high standards of patient care.
