Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team under the center manager and surgeon. You will assist with invasive and noninvasive procedures, maintain sterile fields, and anticipate needs of the surgical team.

The role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and infection control, with responsibilities including instrument counts, coordination with circulating staff, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years experience as a Scrub Tech or Surgical Processing.
• Strong communication with physicians and medical staff.
• Knowledge of sterile processing.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently assists physician with operative procedures.
• Anticipates surgeon’s needs during procedures.
• Maintains sterile field and environment.
• Counts sponges, needles, and instruments per protocol.
• Gowns and gloving for surgeons and staff.
• Transports equipment and supports sterile processing duties.
• Adheres to safety guidelines and infection control practices.
• Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
