Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current State of Washington registration as a Surgical Technician.
• BLS Certification for healthcare providers.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work night and/or weekend call.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Understanding of instrumentation and sterile field setup and draping.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; ability to handle stress.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR: instruments, equipment, supplies.
• Pass instruments and anticipate needs for surgeons and nurses.
• Maintain a sterile field and aseptic technique at all times.
• Count items and handle specimens accurately.
• Assist with patient positioning and draping; move equipment as needed.
