Job summary

The position requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program (or equivalent military training), BLS certification within 90 days, and strong teamwork and communication skills to support patient care across age groups.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program (Required).
• Completion of a military Surgical Technologist training program (Required).
• Thorough knowledge of asepsis, instrumentation, suture and surgical procedures (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days (Required).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients/families.
• Position yourself in a primary scrub role.
• Assist with technical responsibilities in operative procedures.
• Ensure instruments and supplies are present and functioning.
• Label medications with correct doses on the sterile field.
• Support the operative team and follow patient care handoff protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Engage in learning and self-improvement.
