Ideal candidates are meticulous, patient-focused, and able to think critically in a fast-paced OR. A high school diploma is required, with an Associate's Degree and Surgical Technologist certification strongly preferred; CPR within 60 days is expected.

Qualifications

• Acknowledge eligibility to work in the U.S.
• CPR certification within 60 days of employment is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Strong verbal and written English communications for patient care

Responsibilities

• Performs scrubbing and assisting duties within the sterile field during operative procedures
• Anticipates surgeon and staff needs by passing instruments and supplies with critical thinking
• Maintains proper care and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment
• Learns quickly and maintains a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
• Demonstrates knowledge of aseptic technique principles and practices
• Assists with draping and establishing the sterile field during surgeries
• Reviews instrument counts and assists circulating nurses for patient safety
• Participates in OR turnover and prepares for next case
• Works under pressure with patience, tact, and endurance to deliver high-quality care

Education

High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
