Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions and instruments.
• Assists in preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Maintains sterile field and passes instruments to surgeon during procedures.
• Ensures proper accounting of instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Receives specimens for laboratory testing and supports wound dressings.
• Assists with visualization, retraction, suction, and irrigation of operative site.
