Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAAPHEP/ABHES accredited surgical technology program.
• Or LPN with at least 10 years in a Surgical Technician/Technologist role.
• Or completion of a Surgical Technologist Certificate program and certification by NBSTSA/AAH/NHWA/NCCT.
• Or NBSTSA certification as surgical technologist or first assistant.

Responsibilities

• Pass surgical instruments in the operating room.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with surgical case counts.
• Prepare and open supplies/instruments for cases; ensure room readiness.
• Set up and maintain sterile field until patient exits.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and monitor sterile technique.
