Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in sterile technique and operating room coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operative area, drape sterile field, and maintain aseptic environment.
• Pass instruments, sponges and sutures to surgeon and assistants; count supplies.
• Receive and handle surgical specimens as directed.
• Prepare OR for cases and assist with room turnover.
• Assist in cleaning, reprocessing and storage of instruments.
