Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating rooms; disinfects and assembles equipment and supplies.
• Maintains sterile field and monitors readiness for procedures.
• Provides supportive care in the pre-operative phase.
• Prepares skin, positions patients, and monitors vital signs.
• During surgery passes sterile instruments, may cut sutures, tracks items, and labels specimens.
• Ensures rooms are clean, sterile and stocked for the next case.
• Performs clerical duties and supports staff with inventory and patient data.
• Delivers compassionate support to patients and families.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and health care regulations.
• Maintains safe, clean environment following infection-control policies.
