Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Jackson, MI is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Outpatient Surgery Center. The position is full-time with a day shift, 36 hours per week, from 6:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday with rotation for late room coverage.

The role involves preparing the operating suite, passing instruments, assisting with patient positioning, and maintaining instrument counts under supervision of the surgeon.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience.
• Associate's degree/Technical degree preferred.
• 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Hands required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.

• Assists surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience
  • OR Associate's degree/Technical degree
  • OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology

Location: Outpatient Surgery Center - 1125 East Michigan Ave. - Jackson, MI 49201

Schedule: 8 hr shift - 6:30am - 4:00pm, Monday-Friday (rotation for coverage of late room until 4:00 pm)

Full-time, Day Shift, 36 hours/week

Eligible for $7,500 sign on bonus
